On behalf of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, I would like to welcome the participants and guests of the 4th International Conference on Information Security "Infoforum-Yugra".
The conference organized by the National Forum of Information Security "Infoforum" with the support of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Security and Anti-Corruption, the apparatus of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, is a representative and authoritative international event at which experts from different countries and international organizations can not only discuss the most pressing problems of international information security, but also exchange experiences and constructive ideas.
The restrictions caused by the global pandemic have become a serious challenge for the economy and public life. At the same time, they gave a strong motivation to the introduction of innovations in provision of electronic public services, improvement of business processes, activation of financial, educational, social and other digital platforms.
The high interdependence of the virtual world creates conditions for the emergence of new threats to society, economy and state sovereignty. Without solving a wide range of tasks of ensuring information security, it is impossible to protect the privacy of citizens and the national interests of the country, to ensure the sustainable development of society. This is possible only by combining the efforts of government bodies, representatives of the business community, scientific and expert organizations, as well as civil society. Infoforum is an example of such productive cooperation for discussion and development of solutions in the field of protection of IT technologies, allowing timely identification and neutralization of modern challenges and threats in the national information sphere. I would also like to note the growing involvement of representatives of foreign states and international organizations in the work of the event.
I am confident that this forum will make its constructive contribution to ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation in the information sphere, as well as to strengthening international stability throughout the world.
I wish the participants of Infoforum-Ugra productive work, constructive discussions and practical results aimed at strengthening information security!
